Giuseppe Tirelli
Born in Tanzania in 1957, the artist lives and works in Piacenza. His personal style blends the characters of classical sculpture with contemporary and cybernetic atmospheres. He is considered by the English art critic Edward Lucie-Smith one of the most original exponents of the current Italian neofigurative sculpture. Giuseppe Tirelli prefers the sculpture in bronze and polychrome resin, with which he realizes with an analytical eye enigmatic figures from the silent intimacy and latent irony. His examples are the great masters of classical Greece but also Donatello, Cellini and Canova. His works are appreciated in Europe and abroad and are part of private collections in the United States, Russia, India and Australia.
