Roberto Fantini

Roberto Fantini was born in Rome in 1960 and in the past worked as a fashion photographer. He prefers the use of mixed media - acrylic and graphite paints- applied to different materials: fabrics, manuscripts, Japanese paper and maps. The composition of each work is first of all a matter of graphics, contrasts and color combinations. Fantini’s subjects are often children and adolescents, made using the collage technique. Characteristic element of his works are the red hair and the lack of face of his figures, however able to convey the lively personality of the subjects represented.
